Denton Burrows

Denton Burrows was born and raised in Manhattan, NY. He received is BA in Fine Arts from Lehigh University and his Masters in Illustration from The School of Visual Arts. Denton has embarked upon a life of visual social commentary and this practice is his therapy, his way of dealing with and understanding the world, hopefully enabling him to make people truly understand how complicated and connected the world really is, for better or worse, but that there is knowledge in these intersections; knowledge that can spark positive intellectual debate about how to thoughtfully move forward. Denton will return Atlantic City to refurbish his mural “A Little Bit of Everyone” originally painted in 2019. This local favorite was inspired by Denton’s experience while in town and combines themes of neighborhood diversity and grit into an uplifting and positive image. Denton will touch up the original design to restore its vibrancy.

Felipe Ortiz

Felipe Ortiz is a visual artist working in drawing, painting, and large-scale public murals. His work aims for immediate emotional engagement, using vibrant, multi-layered compositions that merge abstraction and realism. A central theme in his practice is adaptation, inspired by his experience as an immigrant and reflected in nature’s cycles—especially migratory birds, which symbolize resilience and transformation. Felipe is re-installing one of his homages to birdlife, “Oystercatchers,” after the original mural was lost to facade repairs in 2023. This mural features a flock of native birds in flight against a backdrop of clouds, abstract shapes, and color bursts inspired by Atlantic City’s iconic seaside sunsets.
