Painted Lady Studio
Painted Lady Studio creates vibrant, spiritually inspired works that bridge faith and culture. The installation Believe honors the Virgin Mary as a universal figure revered across religions, from Christianity to Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism. The piece features a freestanding illuminated tower with painted icons, routed wood sculpture, candles, and a glowing neon sign reading “Believe,” evoking the atmosphere of a small altar. Guided by a deep creative drive and a love for coastal landscapes, Painted Lady Studio blends devotion, craftsmanship, and color to reflect the shared symbols that connect us across beliefs.
Believe
The Virgin Mary is honored among Christians, but she is also venerated by other faiths, including Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism, and in the official teaching within these traditions. Mary is the most universal religious figure of our contemporary world. “Believe” will evoke the viewer to explore Mary’s multicultural significance.
Helen Clymer is passionate about creating, and tries to paint every day. The marsh & ocean are magical places where she finds this inspiration. Turtles, fish & surfing, done in a bold illustrative style, are her ongoing themes. Her husband is a huge part of her business, and has supported “Painted Lady Studio” for over 40 years. Seasonally, Helen and her husband go “endless summer” traveling to Southern Florida to caravan her art at pop up art shows & festivals.
