Join us for a 1st annual Dia de los Muertos celebration in Atlantic City of Dia De Los Muertos with El Pueblo Unido of Atlantic City and Organizacion Azteca.

This event is free and open to the public. There will be traditional and live music, folkloric dances, an altar contest and exhibit, artisanal crafts and activities, and refreshments.

Join us to dedicate Atlantic City's mural honoring Jacob Lawrence, "In Memory Of...", located at Atlantic Cape Community College. Following the dedication we'll gather in the cafeteria for a brief reception with light refreshments.

The 3-panel mural is by Kenneth Lazan Faulk, Jr., John Morris, and Chanelle René and was completed with the participation of young artists from the Leaders in Training program.

Artist Jacob Lawrence was born on September 7, 1917, in Atlantic City's Ward 3, where the Save-A-Lot now stands. He was hailed as a master storyteller, creating a body of work that comprehensively spoke about the African American experience.

“Portrait of Etika”

In May of 2022, BKFoxx paints the second tribute mural of Etika in Brooklyn, NY, after he took his own life in 2019. Interviews with fans and friends.
