Isolation
Miranda Bishop is a Brooklyn based ballerina, choreographer and aerialist. Her piece entitled “Isolation” was filmed on the boardwalk and beach in front of Steele Pier in Atlantic City.
“It brings me so much joy to present this piece to you! I grew up in Atlantic County and started my ballet career with the Atlantic City Ballet as a teenager. After many years spent dancing in Philadelphia and NYC I found myself in quarantine back at my childhood home in Northfield, NJ. During this unexpected isolation I totally fell in love with the song Agony by Yung Lean. The music brought out so many emotions and the lyrics captured exactly how this pandemic has made me and some many others feel. With this new found inspiration I choreographed a dance and filmed it with my wonderful partner David Weeks.” - Miranda

Aria Da Capo
Enjoy this dramatic reading/enactment of Aria Da Capo by Edna St. Vincent Millay. It has some themes and scenes that feel especially poignant in relation to separation and the mild absurdity in producing live theater when the actors cannot be in the same place.
